Qualification
Candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a university or institution recognized by the Government of India, a government body, or AICTE. Eligibility is measured on 1 August 2026.
The advertisement lists IC-38 and specified NISM certifications as preferred, not mandatory. These include NISM Series V-A, XXI-A, and XIII.
Mandatory Banking Experience
Applicants need at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the RBI's Second Schedule. Clerical-cadre experience does not count. Candidates must provide an employer-certified experience certificate and job profile.
Experience periods shorter than six months normally do not count, except when that period is part of the applicant's current employment. The Bank may reject experience whose job profile does not substantially match that of a Bank of Baroda Scale-I officer.
Local Language Requirement
Applicants must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the selected State. Candidates shortlisted through the online examination must pass the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) before interview.
A candidate who produces a Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet/certificate showing that the specified local language was studied as a subject is exempt from the LPT. Failure to qualify the LPT prevents the candidate from attending the personal interview.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The normal age range is 21 to 30 years as on 1 August 2026.

| Eligible ex-servicemen / ECO / SSCO – SC/ST | 10 years |
Ex-servicemen officer relaxation is subject to the detailed five-year military-service and release conditions in the advertisement. There is no ex-servicemen reservation in the officers' cadre.
Salary, Probation and Service Bond
The JMG/S-I basic-pay scale is ₹48,480–₹85,920 through the official increment stages. Selected officers are also eligible for allowances, perquisites, and facilities under the applicable banking settlement and Bank policies.
One advance increment is granted for qualifying officer experience of one year or more in a Scheduled Commercial Bank. Selected candidates undergo 12 months of active-service probation.
The current service bond requires three years of service or payment of three months' gross salary, capped at ₹2 lakh, for leaving before completing the bond. Final bond terms will be stated in the offer letter.
Posting Restriction
Selected candidates will remain posted within their chosen State for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV, whichever occurs earlier. After that, Bank of Baroda may post them anywhere in India.

The Bank may modify the selection method. Applicants must qualify the stages actually conducted. The minimum stated GD/PI score is 60% for General candidates and 55% for reserved-category candidates, subject to the Bank's right to change the standard.
